In Listening, how can I catch the next answer when I'm busy reading or writing?

Students often miss the answers in Listening tests because they are busy writing down an answer.

Listening and writing at the same time requires your brain to multitask. Multitasking is easy when we are doing two easy things (for example, walking and chewing gum), but multitasking is difficult when we are doing two hard things (eg. listening to a conversation and writing down words).

The harder the two tasks are, the harder it is to multitask.

So, what can you do?

Improve your listening skills so that understanding the conversation is easy.
