When should I use Grammarly?

Grammarly can be a useful tool, but it depends very much on what area of grammar you are trying to work on.

For example, Grammarly is very good at punctuation, it is sometimes good at subject verb agreement, and it is always terrible at articles.

So when should you use Grammarly? - When you have done your level best to fix every punctuation mistake in your essay and you want to check if you've got it right.

Remember, though, that if Grammarly catches punctuation mistakes you missed, you need to address the root cause of why you missed it. Were you in a rush? Do you need to improve your proofreading skills? Do you need to learn the rules for commas?

At the end of the day, you can't take Grammarly into the exam with you, so need to learn the grammar rules related to your key grammar mistakes so you can stop making them.

NOTE: DO NOT use Grammarly (or spellcheck or Google) when writing an essay for the correction service because if you do, you won't get an accurate idea of your real level.
