What happens if the time runs out during my speaking test? Will this affect my scores?

In part 1 and part 3, the examiner is trained to interrupt you if they think your answers are too long and feel that they won't be able to ask all the questions they need to ask you. Therefore, this situation should not happen.

If the examiner interrupts you for speaking too long, this will NOT affect your score. However, if the examiner interrupts you because you have gone off topic or are repeating yourself a lot this will affect your score.

In part 2, the examiner will interrupt you after 2 minutes has passed. You should expect this and keep talking until they tell you to stop.

In part 3, the examiner may question your answers to see if you are able to defend your point of view. This is not because they disagree with your ideas, they just want to see how well you can argue your point.
